I experienced releases of stress that I believe had been here for a long time. I learnt tools to make every moment a moment of peace.
Offered by the International Association for Human Values (IAHV), the sister organization of the Art of Living Foundation, YLTP is a course which pairs youth development with innovative and effective ways to impact the wider community in a positive way. The YLTP program consists of a YES+ [link] curriculum to strengthen participants in leadership, communication, clarity, and emotional well-being, after which participants give back to the community through teaching simple trauma- and stress-relief programs.
The YLTP program serves as a powerful setting in which participants can Be the Change in an intensive and dynamic residential environment, benefiting from learning and growing with like-minded, service-oriented young people. YLTP locations and service projects change annually (periodically?) to reach out to a wide variety of communities and speak to a range of social and environmental issues across the United States.
Benefits:
- Learn teamwork, leadership, and communication skills in a highly interdependent setting
- Increase physical energy and motivation to serve
- Increase emotional well-being
- Gain confidence, clarity, and focus
- Gain teaching skills and in-depth knowledge about simple yet powerful breathing, yoga, and meditation techniques
