Yoga, Empowerment + Service (YES+) is a leadership program for college students and young professionals designed to improve one's ability to make decisions with confidence and clarity, reduce stress and anxiety, and increase commitment and social responsibility.
Young people today face greater competition in all areas of life, greater pressure to succeed and higher rates of depression, violence and suicide.
YES+ helps participants gain focus, teaches them how to manage their emotions effectively and builds stronger social and interpersonal skills. Participants say they are happier, more inclined toward serving their communities and more successful in accomplishing their goals.
Main Aspects of the Program
- Physical – Fun yet challenging body exercises along with innovative breathing techniques are taught.
- Mental – Practical techniques and interactive processes to improve memory, concentration & focus.
- Social – Empirical processes to develop problem solving strategies and social skills; interactive processes to develop leadership and life skills; teamwork exercises to teach cooperation and conflict resolution.
- Emotional – Innovative games and group discussions designed to help you feel at ease in challenging situations, increase confidence and inner strength to interact more effective.
